Henry was hesitant to ask Hannah any questions because of the way she looked. The fact that the woman knew Hannah was obvious. Especially considering how late she had left the previous evening, Henry didn’t understand why she was here at such an early hour. Henry lied that he would leaving the nation that night for a few months, therefore he was here to say goodbye. He said that he had simply come to say “Hi.” He could tell something was going on behind his back by Hannah’s response.

Hannah came out as being overly happy that Henry was leaving the country. She gave him her word that the restaurant was in good hands. Henry would have trusted her in a different situation. Henry was happy to have her at his side because she had demonstrated her value in several ways. But now that everything was taking place, he couldn’t help but feel uneasy.
